Youth Destroy University Building

A week ago several youth destroyed a university building and surrounding businesses and homes. They were infuriated after they weren't allowed into a concert that could not fit in anymore people. They began to throw bricks and rocks at the buildings as a protest. The area looked like a war zone. Every time we drove by it, since its on our way home, I began too feel such a heavy burden for the youth that participated. I felt like the Lord was reminding me that these youth are living without a purpose and that He desires for them to know Him! it also makes me think about the passion that these youth have to live for something or to give their life over to a cause. In this case they gave into vandalism and destruction. But what if they invested that passion into walking with God. They would do the unimaginable to share His love with the world! This also reminds me that there is so much work to do and students through out Latin America are searching for a purpose in life. The Lord is challenging us to look at these young people as POTENTIAL, not as troublemakers.

I can't help but feel and urgency and a need to pray your students all over the world. They are the future of God's church and the shapers of tomorrow. We graduate from language school August 14th and will be in Chile to start working with university students in September! Pray and believe with us that the Lord can transform young lives and that we would see the potential they have to do the unimaginable for the kingdom of God. I've been praying for God to prepare Josh and I that He would renew our passion for our call. I think He has answered our prayers!
